Kabrita Mom Story: Niki’s Journey Using Kabrita For Her Cow Milk Sensitive Daughter
Every mom’s feeding experience is as unique as her baby. While the journey may be easy for some, others may struggle with many issues. Kabrita’s Real Mom Story is a series on our blog where we ask moms to share their feeding stories. Being a mom can be difficult at times for anyone. Whether you’re expecting or already have little one, we hope these stories can offer you insight on what worked (or didn’t work) for moms just like you. Today, we will be sharing Nikki’s story on using Kabrita with her cow milk sensitive daughter.
Tell us a little bit about Camreigh. How did you find out about Kabrita?
Camreigh was uncomfortable and had many tummy troubles due to cow milk sensitivity. She had chronic diarrhea with green mucus. At first, I was told that it might be a reaction to iron. I found Kabrita when I was searching online for a better formula for babies with cow milk sensitivity.
Please tell us why you chose to switch to formula and why Kabrita seemed like a good solution?
I chose to start formula feeding after my breastmilk supply started running low. I wanted a safe, pure option to supplement. After struggling with cow-milk based formula and using formulas that gears towards sensitive babies, I didn’t see any improvement. After researching, I found that goat’s milk formula may be a solution and stumbled upon Kabrita.
How did your Camreigh transition to Kabrita?
At first, I was mixing Kabrita with the sensitive formula, and she did okay. As soon as we switched to using Kabrita exclusively, the difference was like night and day. She was much happier, and her chronic diarrhea improved. It took about a week to transition overall.
Did you have a particular perception of what a goat milk formula would taste like before Kabrita? What do you think of Kabrita’s taste and smell?
Not necessarily taste, but I had heard that goat milk was a gentler, healthier option, but had not looked into it. I thought Kabrita smelled terrific compared to some of the sensitive formulas I was using before.
Kabrita non-GMO Goat Milk Formula is made in the Netherlands, and it is designed to maintain the natural comfort of little ones during feeding transitions, such as weaning, supplementing or changing formulas due to skin or tummy troubles*.
